The active ingredient in tablets is powdered bark of Cat’s Claw (Uncaria tomentoza), also known as Vilcacora.

Vilcacora is one of the best known herbs from the Peruvian Andes. The name is derived from the Spanish Una de gato, which means Cat’s Claw – known so by the thorns the pants attach themselves with, to the surrounding plants as this is a climbing vine-like liana plant.

Vilcacora is valued first and foremost for a number of alkaloids contained mainly in the bark. In the Indian tradition it is called the “Sacred plant of the Incas. It has a wide spectrum of applications. The product is recommended for boosting of the immune system, has anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic properties, helps to reduce blood pressure, acts as an antioxidant and detoxifier and is used as a supplement during chemotherapy.
